Lily Endowment Continues Clergy Renewal Grants

15 November 2011

Lilly-Endowment-Logo2I have known pastors who have been blessed by grants given by the Lilly Endowment of Indianapolis, IN.  They award grants of up to $50K to churches so that their pastors can take time off for personal study, development, and revitalization.  They recently announced that they plan to continue that for 2012.

An article in the Toledo Blade said: “The endowment has given more than 1,400 grants in the program’s 12-year history….  Most pastors who participate in the program spend three to four months traveling throughout the world, studying subjects they care about and reconnecting with family and friends.”

The 2012 application deadline is May 11,2012.  You can find more information here at the Lilly Endowment site.
